Feeling Frustrated or Stressed???

Long, beautiful, gleaming, steaming, flaxen, waxen... I adore hair!  ~James Rado and Gerome Ragni, Hair.

The title raised the question, so are you feeling frustrated or stressed?  Or maybe BOTH??  They are two feelings that I personally would represent with pregnancy for example.  I say pregnancy because I have been watching some pregnant celebrities lately which I will show you in a few minutes.  Obviously Ive never been pregnant but I know people who were and are and what seems to come with pregnancy is frustration and stress which is completely normal.  Usually women care more for their pregnancy which is being responsible and again completely normal, this is why I was aw'ed by the celebrities who made a effort with their hair and how well they looked.

We see here that Victoria Beckham, who is due this summer, went for quiet a simple hairstyle by pinning her hair back which gave more definition to her face and then with the cut in the leg of her dress, the pregnancy was hidden very well.

Again, the pregnancy is hidden but apart from that P!nk is herself as we see she has obtained a new hairstyle which is a regular occurrence for her.  I adore her grey hair and the rise in her hair and then the flick over to the side.  Not a simple hairstyle to achieve so well done P!nk.

Amanda Holden has went for a simple style most likely achieved with a straightener and mouse.  It is one of her trademark styles and it suits her face very well.

Holly Willoughby...This lady never looks bad.  She always looks beautiful.  This dress is amazing for her but the hair completes it.  The simpleness is perfected.  The curls at the ends are gorgeous and her hair color is incredibly nice.

Natalie Portman looks absolutely INCREDIBLE in this photo.  Her hair is similar to P!nk's but with less of a rise and she also has it tided in a bun at the back.  It is a very attractive style achieved with mouse and a couple of hair pins to keep it in place.

SO.....If your not pregnant or are and your frustrated and stressed why not do something with your hair that makes you feel good about yourself?  Get it cut?  Put color in it?  Style it differently?  Take a straightener or curler to it?  Do something different and keep doing it until you find something that is gonna make you feel better about yourself.

What style makes YOU feel better about yourself??

CHECK THIS VIDEO OUT!!!!

In the video we see how amazing P!nk looks and what the girl does to make her feel better about herself concerning her hair.  But the video is not about that.  It is truly AMAZING!!!!  Hope you guys enjoyed the entry!!

Do We Really Have To Wait Till We Are Older To Have Grey Hair???

Hair style is the final tip-off whether or not a woman really knows herself.  ~Hubert de Givenchy, Vogue, July 1985

A couple of weeks ago I got my hair bleached blonde and was told to put Fanci-Full tinter in it to whiten it up but then I bought the wrong tinter so my hair turned grey and I loved it so I said I would bleach it grey.  I seen Lady GaGa's Vanity Fair photo shoot and her grey hair was amazing and I was incredibly jealous.  I couldn't believe how grey she got it.

Now to me trying to get grey.  I bleached it blonde again to lighten up the blonde so the grey would stick better.  Left that on for about 30 minutes and then but the grey in next and left that in for about another 30 minutes but it didn't turn out grey AT ALL!!!! It was more like this:

I was SHOCKED and didn't know what to do so we bleached it again until I turned basically ginger and then we said that we would try another bleach and see.  We then put silver over the ginger-ish blonde.  The silver would either turn my hair the grey I wanted or just Lighten up my hair color to a very nice blonde.  It was VERY nerve wrecking.  It ended up making it blonder.  So I found out the hard way that grey cannot be achieved in a hairdressers.  Its next to impossible for a hairdressers.  But as of last night I found a girl who proved this theory wrong.

I caught up with her just before I walked into the Twisted Pepper to have an AMAZING night.  Her hair is so interesting and gorgeous.  I love the flick to the side with the fringe and also the waviness going through it.  Wait for it....she got the grey done in the hairdressers.  I like everything about her image here.  It suits her very well.

I have my hair grey now but that is only because of this stuff:

Fanci-Full is a wash in, wash out color rinse.  It is actually amazing.  Id recommend the mouse one instead of the liquid one, it takes better to the hair.  But these products only seem to take to light colored hair and not dark.  It was to much effort coloring my hair everyday so today I shaved off my sides to bring back my undercut which I much prefer.  For now...I say goodbye!!  Hope you enjoyed.

Keeping It Simple But Yet, Very Attractive...

Hair brings one's self-image into focus; it is vanity's proving ground.  Hair is terribly personal, a tangle of mysterious prejudices.  ~Shana Alexander

Does it ever happen to you that when you go out that you just can't pick an outfit to wear and you end up changing about 50 times??  I can say that it happens to me ALL the time.  When i'm getting ready, particularly when i'm going out, the whole wardrobe goes out onto the bed until I can find an outfit.  But it doesn't stop there.    I also think that for the outfit that you pick...your hair must go with also because your hair plays a HUGE part in your finished look.  Like i'm so fussy over my hair, like if I have a bad hair day I wont leave the house but that is besides the point.

We all know who Audrey Hepburn is, or at least we should.  She is incredibly famous for you film career and she was adored by many but i'm not here to talk about that.  Im more interested in her right now for her hair.  The majority of time she had a beehive hairstyle and this hairstyle began to become popular in the 1950's, around the time she started her film career.

I want to talk about this style because it is so simple to do and when women are getting ready for a night out it is such a simple but yet very attractive style and goes with the majority of outfits.  As I said, it is a simple style to do, all you need is a straightener, a curler, some hair clips and hairspray and of course, the will to do it and make it look good for you.  It is a popular hairstyle among celebrities also, with Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez pulling it off very well while Amy Winehouse uses it most often.

As you can see, this hairstyle pleases the eye.  So if you are doubting what to do with your hair for a night out, why not go for the beehive hairstyle??

In other news, I featured in the UCD fashion show last night and I had the time of my life.  Still high on adrenalin from the experience.  Im mentioning it because I dyed my hair grey for it and got the makeup artists to try and blend my make up with it and to be fair...I LOVED the make up.  It is quiet different but yet very good.

One Of Many Obsessions!!!

Hairstyles.....God I love them!!  Anybody who knows me knows that.  I love experimenting with hair, like I get so excited like a little kid on Christmas morning when I see a really cool hairstyle.  But what I find really interesting is where all these hairstyles come from and what intriguing hairstyles some celebrities have. One icon comes to mind.  She doesn't care what people make of her and she has the most interesting outfits and has the hair to go with it.  Of course it is Lady GaGa!!! This is one of my favorite by her.  Its not as wacky as her usual stuff but I love the way she ran the purple through the blonde and the height she put in it....AMAZING!!!!

Lady GaGa seems to just make her own fashionable style and not take it from anybody else which makes her so UNIQUE.  Not that there is anything wrong with taking hairstyles from other people or taking ideas from their hair, cause lets face it....we have all done it and people are still doing it....especially celebrities.  Two Legends that who A LOT of hairstyles today have come from are Marilyn Monroe and James Dean!!!

Marilyn Monroe....what a legend she is.....

She has influenced so many celebrities today it is unreal.  Everybody loves Marylin Monroe's style and people have not only tried to recreate her style but also her hairstyle.  Katherine Heigl recreates Monroe's hairstyle very well but the likes of Katy Perry and Christina Aguilera have also taken ideas from her and even Rihanna has been influenced.

James Dean being a hugely famous actor of his time and still today has been a HUGE influence on mens hairstyles today.  It is almost like his hairstyles are the roots for MANY today.

Like Monroe, James Dean's hairstyle has been taken and changed a bit but ultimately the roots of his hairstyle remain.  James Dean's quiff and messed up hair was clearly taken by most famously Brad Pitt, George Clooney has also been influenced and also the non High School Musical Zac Efron has also idolized his hair. But it doesn't stop there....Gossip Girl's bad boy Ed Westwick and Twilights Robert Pattinson have also made Dean's hairstyle more modern.

Then there is P!NK......

She always has a new hairstyle and none of them fail to entertain and maybe thats bias cause im such a huge fan but honestly...do they ever fail to impress you?  It is P!nk who I take after with my hair.  I love to put new colors in it.  From Blonde, to pink to purple and now to a white but not as white as P!nk's in the photo above unfortunately but im working on it.

Well there you go....you now know about my obsession with hair.  See y'all later and thanks for coming this far.

P!NK!!!

"You can't be creative when you're completely happy."  - P!nk

P!nk....She is an AMAZING singer and she is also my favorite singer and not only that, but she is my Idol!!  You can tell from the quote above that she speaks the truth in everything she does.  She has experienced so much in her life and went through so much crap and talks about it in her songs.  I think P!nk is the only artist that I can relate to most and thats why I love her.  Its not possible for her to write a bad song cause its always the truth and she isn't fake like a lot of people.  She is so under rated for what she does and its sad that people dont give her enough credit.

She is such an iconic figure and you could say that is because she is such a bad-ass and has an attitude that allows her not to care about what people say about her and if somebody did say something, she always stands up for herself and fights back and she is pregnant now so she is going to be an incredible parent and im already jealous of her child.

It was inevitable that I had to dedicate at least one of my posts to P!nk.  I just cant help myself when it comes to her.  I am trying very hard to contain myself from talking way to much about her and making me look like a big freak.  I think we will leave it at me being a HUGE fan.
